Working on individual wellness, together

Working on individual wellness, together

With technology, we can track how much we eat, when we exercise, how well we sleep and even monitor our stress levels.

In the past 20 years, we have witnessed technological breakthroughs and innovations that have changed our world. Microwave ovens, LED TVs, digital music and the internet have all transformed the way we live, and our lives are set to progress further with the advancement of interstellar travel, face recognition systems and self driving vehicles. With health being our most important asset in life, it makes sense to leverage on modern technology to enhance and maintain our wellness.

We can be aware of foods that are right for us and that
improve our optimum wellness.

But working out and keeping in good shape doesn’t have to be an individual affair. It can be hard to constantly keep up our own motivation and determination. Agreed with working in teams and more importantly the need to leverage tech in order to enhance wellness, we as a society, spend enormous resources in fields such as entertainment, games, movies, music and so on.

Sometimes I think we leave behind what is actually most relevant and we do not realize until we have a real issue to solve.

I am the first in line for space exploration and similar advances in Technology, look at what Elon Musk or Richard Branson are doing when partnering together to build the so called hyperloop super high-speed transportation system which will permit humans to link far away cities and countries in very short travel time, it is all great, however, I do not see the same determination from private corporations or governments to invest large sums of money to found research and development of technology aimed to increase and strengthen the quality of life of our nations.

      Hi Daniele,
Good point on your comment, there is indeed the need for more of this collaborative efforts in the realms of wellness and health in general.
I personally believe that anyone can contribute and work together as a team, whether is a local community or one online, so, at first, we as minority start by adding little blocks that perhaps one day will be a fortress of great magnitude.

I would love to comment with a quote from Vince Lombardi, (the legendary football coach).

“Individual commitment to a group effort: That is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.”
